Currency Design is an SME for SMEs. As a small business ourselves, we understand the challenges in both branding and operations that small enterprises are concerned with every day. Over the years, we have worked with a diverse, numerous mix of small businesses to help them overcome their business challenges through well-positioned and well-articulated branding. Our partnerships have helped their businesses grow and sharpened our own capabilities.
Our range of SME branding work stretches from the most traditional to cutting-edge sectors. We have helped shape the image of an international art book fair (Thing Books), a ceramic studio (Pinch), a book publisher (Ethos Books), a music shop (Accent), an air-con servicer (ISO), an NFT creator (Debt DAO), a Web3.0 luxury goods marketplace (Varok), and many others.
We take a grounded and practical approach to building a brand from the ground up by employing our tried and tested design research process. We seek to understand the pragmatic issues of the business and the branding approach that resolves these issues, rather than blindly accepting an initial brief and striving to fulfil unrealistic or ineffective requirements. All businesses have exciting ideas and visions of what they should be; our role is to put real focus on these visions.

The outcome of our process is to forge a brand that is evergreen. We develop brands that carry the business’s heritage and founders’ values, but also incorporate contemporary, versatile elements in their design execution.
To reinforce the legitimacy and rigour of our branding process, we pursued and obtained the Practising Management Consultant (PMC) certification by the Singapore Business Advisors and Consultants Council (SBACC). This certification is recognised internationally in over 50 economies and strongly supported by Enterprise Singapore.
When you engage Currency for your brand consulting challenges, you benefit from our PMC status in these ways:
